Something to keep your head busy
Sometimes the brain simply will not stop. Here are four small games to occupy it for a while. Nothing to lose, no points, no clock.
Play for as long as you like and stop when you have had enough. Nothing is counted, nothing is kept, and nobody is watching.
If you need more than a distraction — help is here.
Pairs
Turn over two cards. If the hearts match they stay face up. If they do not, they turn back and you carry on. There is no wrong move and no way to lose.
Every one of them is paired up.
Snake
The old game from back when phones had buttons, except the tail is a rainbow. Every heart adds one square in the next colour, and the walls are not walls — go through one and you come out the other side. It never speeds up on you either; the tempo is yours to pick.
Touch the board to set it off
Arrow keys, WASD, or a swipe across the board. Space pauses and starts.
Breathe
The heart grows while you breathe in, holds for a moment, and shrinks more slowly while you breathe out. The out-breath is longer on purpose — it is the part that settles the body.
In for 4 · hold for 4 · out for 6
Whenever you are ready
Stop whenever you like. There is no right number.
The flag
The tiles are shuffled. Pick two and they swap places. The aim is six rows in the colours of the rainbow, and every move can be taken back.
The flag is whole.
The games run entirely in your own browser. Nothing is sent anywhere and nothing is remembered for next time.
